Today is Rick's Birthday and mother's day. He is so nice to share his birthday :). It was a very good low key day. Rick ran the "Salmon Run" and did really well, Adalie and I are proud. For the second year in a row, I could not run because of surgery recovery. I am hoping to get the okay from the dr tomorrow to run the bay to breakers instead of walking, either way it will be fun to be with family and in a 100 year anniversary race. I can't wait to see all the crazy costumes. Happy Birthday Rick and Happy Mom's day to all you beautiful, strong Mom's out there (especially my own).

Happy Easter

Okay, so we went over board on the girlieness this year and dressed Adalie up...way up -. She had her Easter dress on, her fairy wings, her special gerber daisy hat on and of course her little monogrammed Easter basket. So cute - why she loves her fairy wings I have no idea...it's a special treat at Grandma and Grandpa's house that she goes right for....hahaha - Thank you mom and dad for a great Easter and wonderful food!

Water baby is an understatement when describing Adalie. She is happy in the tub, she is even happier when she gets a book read to her while she's in the tub. After dinner, usually around 6:30, she heads right for the bathtub - signing to us that she is ready for her bath. Once in the bath she keeps saying "boo (k)" and then smiles and laughs when I read to her. Especially when the books have pictures of her favorite animals, dogs and frogs.. Happy girl. Happy March, time has flown by and I feel like I'm just trying to hold on without getting bucked off! Quick update we are all doing well and Adalie is now running!!!!

We have had lots of travel over the past two months. Trips to the coast to visit Grandma and Grandpa Jacobs, Trips to help Great Grandpa Loverin move,Our first aquarium visit, a birthday for Greatgrandma Jacobs, a birthday party for Miss Megan, meeting Grandma and Grandpa Handschuch and my first trip without Adalie and Rick...phew is it time for a nap yet? Birthday Party Blues..I mean flu's

We all had so much fun for Addie's Birthday that we got sick. Addie received her first flu bug. Who knew that our little girl could throw up so much. It was almost comical last night with all three of us violently ill. Sorry to any one who came to the party and left with this awful bug. Thank goodness it only seemed to last two days. YUCK - I am so happy I have a good washer and dryer.

It's official, Addie is 1. I can't believe it, neither can Rick. Our little girl is 1! Wow....

We had a nice little get together on Saturday, just a few friends and family members. It was perfect. Addie tried a bite of cake, Rick ended up buying her a real cake instead of the nonsugar one I was going to bake for her. To our surprise she daintily picked at it and then was ready to get back to socializing. We were expecting gobs of cake in the mouth and frosting every where...maybe next year.

Things of interest to note at Addie's first birthday:

She has two bottom teeth and one upper tooth
She is almost walking and has taken her first steps without support
She loves to play peek-a-boo with doors
She now feeds herself
She loves to throw the ball for Porter
Her favorite toy is her stacking blocks
She loves yogurt
She holds the ear of whoever is holding her (her security blanket in a sense)
She is very social and loves to be around people
