Almost a Year

Time to wake up silly, it's Christmas!!!

Hard to believe that my little girl is almost a year. I was cleaning out her closet tonight and reminiscing about how little she was 9 months ago. She is still pretty dainty, she weighs about 17 pounds. She is the littlest gal in her class weight wise but just as tall as everyone else. It is actually pretty funny to see her next to everyone else, she looks so tiny. She is just too busy for food, trust me we try to get her eat but she normally pushes the food to the side and points at the nearest toy.

Christmas was great. We had a very relaxing Christmas eve at Grandma and Grandpa Handschuchs. Adalie received a very nice blocks game from Santa and loves it. Christmas was spent at home were Addie unwrapped her new carseat...sorry Addie your parents are too practical, maybe next year Santa will bring something a little more fun. Although, the cardboard box provided lots of entertainment. The day after Christmas we met my folks down at Sunriver for breakfast and a sled ride. Aunt Konnie and Uncle Jon gave Grandma Handschuch a sled ride through Sunriver Stables (somthing she has wanted for ever). It was beautiful - Jon and Konnie were in Hermiston visiting her family, we missed them all weekend.

New Years was great - Rick, Addie and I went to visit Grandma Jeanne and Grandpa Fred. It is always very fun visiting them. On New Years day we visited Ocean Shores state park. What a beautiful place. It was amazing. Happy New Years!

Go Ducks...

I'm a duck!

Happy Holidays

Adalie is almost walking. She is pulling herself up on everything and walking while only holding on to something with one hand. Any day now she is going to take her first step...maybe for Christmas. :)

Hawaii

Hawaii is amazing. We left on the 17th for Portland and flew out the 18th. Note to self***a tired baby on a 6 hour flight is the only way to fly**. Adalie is amazing - she slept the first 3 hours and played peekaboo the remaining 3. Thank you for all of the interactive fliers next to us who participated in this endless game full of lots of giggles. :) We flew into Honolulu and spent two nights at the Hilton downtown (thank you hotwire for the great room and awesome deal). The hotel was two blocks away from the beach where Adalie had her first salt water experience. She was freaked until she realized it was endless splashing - YEAH!!!!

TURKEY and Surf

What a great Thanksgiving! Jill, Rick, Scott and I cooked for 30 people and had such a wonderful night! Adalie was serenaded by some cute surfers and we even jumped rope with a vine from the beach. What a great night.

Hale'ewa

Wow - what an experience - thank you thank you thank you Scott and Jill. This was an amazing trip hanging out with you all! We met up on Saturday and spent the next 7 days actually relaxing, something we have not done since last September of 09' (about 3 months before Adalie was born). Thank you. The company was great, the house was beautiful and the experience was a once in a lifetime opportunity - mahalo!

More Hawaii pics

Jill in excitement that dinner is served! :)

humm - those waves look big - chuns reef

Time to jump vine - nature is entertaining!

The last three days in Hawaii, spent on the big Island - and viewing volcanoes...does this seem crazy - I mean it is erupting behind us...ummm can't wait to get off this Island. Kona was very pretty though and I hope to be back one day to compete in the Ironman!
Maybe with Addie... :)
